“Books for Boys”

Last spring MRHS library applied for a literacy grant from The Guardian’s “Raise a Reader” campaign. The funding was targeted at providing more “male friendly” books for our school library. Between the Guardian funding and donations from local businesses and organizations, we raised over $1000. A big thank you to all those who supported us with donations.  A volunteer committee of male students was set up to provide lists of books to order. (Big thanks to Jon Anderson, Ryan Snyder, Noah McGuire & Shane Pendergast!!!)   The ordering was done and most of our titles have arrived and are ready for circulation. These will go on display in the library Tuesday, September 16 . We invite all guys to drop by the library at noon to have a look. A few treats will be on hand and everyone signing out a new book will have a chance to win a $20 gift card from the Murphy Group of  Restaurants.  Looking forward to sharing these new books with you all!
